Colin Wright Photography bio picture

Welcome!

Since I started photographing professionally in 2003, I have been dedicated to producing the most beautiful creative outdoor photography I can.  Finding the hand of God in images of His astounding creations is what I strive for with every image.

My primary focus is on photography practiced in the great outdoors, with my photographic interests also including aircraft, macro photography and elements of color, contrast, symmetry and reflection.

I am represented at Framations Art Gallery in St. Charles MO, where you can always see examples of my work hung on the walls.  Framations also hosts a video tour of some of my work, which can be seen here.

Fresh Art: Heart of the Tractor

I had an opportunity to photograph the grounds of an old farm that was going up for sale. This tractor sat inside an open barn, almost as though it’d been frozen in time. The tractor engine really seemed to speak to me with so many textures and shades. I finished the image with an old-fashioned...

Fresh Art: Yellowstone Lake

On my Yellowstone trip, I took some time to wander around the West Thumb Geyser Basin, and discovered this beautiful body of water. Yellowstone Lake seemed to have every color of the rainbow in its waters. If it weren’t for the snow-capped mountains in the background, it’d be hard to believe this body of water...

Fresh Art: Iwo Jima Memorial

Taken in Washington DC, this image was captured on film, which gives it a grittiness that really captures the nature of the Marines depicted. Iwo Jima Memorial is available through my online gallery, and is available in a variety of sizes.
